Request Support
The Rural Oklahoma Birth & Wellness Initiative provides support, guidance, and connection for families, doulas, perinatal professionals, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and community organizations across rural Oklahoma.
Whether you are preparing for pregnancy, navigating postpartum recovery, supporting a loved one, or working professionally with parents and babies, our team helps connect people to resources, education, and community-based care.
Our work is relationship-centered and guided by Indigenous principles of community responsibility, collaboration, and respect for lived experience. We believe strong systems of care are built through connection between families, doulas, providers, educators, and community partners.
Respecting Cultural Identity and Traditions
Pregnancy, birth, and early parenting are deeply connected to culture, community, and tradition.
ROBWI is committed to respecting and honoring the cultural identities, traditions, and practices of the families and communities we serve. We recognize that families and communities may carry cultural customs, spiritual practices, language preferences, and traditions that shape how they approach pregnancy, birth, postpartum recovery, and parenting.
When requesting support, individuals and providers are encouraged to share any cultural practices, traditions, or community connections that are important to their care or the care of the families they support.
Our team works to ensure services are responsive to these needs and respectful of cultural identity while supporting families in ways that feel safe, meaningful, and aligned with their values.
